A dragon boat is a long, topless paddle boat, which originates from China where it is painted or decorated with the carving of a dragon head. The teams use this as a model for their construction. Each team gets a construction plan which shows exactly how to build a dragon boat. The required materials such as wood, plastic canvas and ropes are available for the participants. At the end a floating construction should be created. Once the construction phase has been successfully completed, the teams compete against each other in an exciting race. At this point we see if the DIY dragon boat is really seaworthy (-;

In order to claim victory in the dragon boat race, the team must manage to find a common rhythm and paddle in unison. Mutual agreement and teamwork are essential to successfully complete this task! The team that reaches the finish line the fastest wins the race and after the award ceremony a cold buffet and refreshing drinks are already waiting for the participants. They have also earned this refreshment!
